Moto-cross replacement
(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN. A young Dunedin rider who was selected in an unofficial New Zealand moto-cross team to ride in Australia next week-end. wrecked his chances of a trip when he split a bone in his leg on Sunday. G. Goodfellow, aged 19, crashed heavily in the inaugural meeting of the Queenstown branch of the Vincent Motorcycle Club near Queenstown on Sunday afternoon. He was taken to Dunedin HosSltal. and he is expected to be 1 plaster for about six weeks J. Nicholls, of Christchurch, was named as Goodfellow’s replacement In the five-man team, which Is due to leave New Zealand tomorrow. Other member* of the team are P. Ploen <Tauranga), M. Smith (Auckland . L. Ross (Christchurch), and M. Sblrrifis (Palmerston North).
