Metals price rise boosts miners
Most share prices showed mixed movements in quiet conditions on Australian exchanges yesterday, rises outnumbering falls in the mining sector.
With the exception of B.H. South and C.R.A., which both fell 10c, most miners reacted favourably to the higher metal prices at the London exchange. Bougainville rose 2c to 92c, M. 2c to 135 c, and G.M.K. 15c to 130 c. Poseidon gained 30c to . 350 c, i The oil issues were again I quiet, most issues being un- ' changed. ■ Industrials traded mixed. ' B.H.P. gained 5c to 430 c, CSR down 5c to 265 c, but E.Z. Industries added 5c at 210 c. Most banks were firmer, as i were property developers, i but financiers were mixed.
