R. McCabe had good year
The group net profit of ' Richardson McCabe and Company, Ltd, for the year to June 30, rose about 21 per cent to $112,644, the directors say in a preliminary report. The profit was after providing $13,017 more at $86,890 for taxation, but $644 less at $47,603 for depreciation. The earning rate on shareholders funds rose from 10.0 per cent to 11.7 per cent. A final dividend for the year of 8.5 per cent is recommended, making an unchanged 10 per cent for the year. After allowing for the preference dividend the ordinary dividend is covered 2.5 times.
