Research grants
The Energy Research and Development Committee has awarded grants worth more than $19,000 to the University of Canterbury. Professor P. S. Corbet, director of the University of Canterbury-Lincoln College Centre for Environmental Research, will be given $13,000 for crop production research and Dr N. J. Peet of the University of Canterbury chemical engineering department will receive $6600 for work on alternative forms of domestic energy application. !
