The Pamelli Jones team’s new Formula 1 car for next season has been shown in California, and is similar in many of its features to the Lotus 72. The car was designed by the former Lotus designer, Maurice Phillippe, and the team's main driver will be Mario Andretti. * * * Matra’s new VI2 racing engine may be made available to other Grand Prix teams, but the cost of five engines, plus maintenance, for one season with a twocar team has been set at more than $300,000. * Ss # The retired American driver and former CanAm series champion, M. Donohue, recently tested the new Penske Formula 1 car in Canada, and it has been suggested that he may come out of retirement to race the car in some events. # * * The M.G. Car Club will hold an economy run to Mount Cook during Labour Week-end (October 26 to 28).
