(N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH. Seven Forty Seven, Monfair and Chelsea Tower were the best workers in final trials at Awapuni yesterday morning. Galloping wide out on a heavy course proper. Seven Forty Seven reeled off the last 800 m of his work in 53sec, the last 600 m in 39sec, The horse has thrived lately and could test Mon fair this week. Monfair covered 1400 m in Imin 37sec. the last 600 m in 42sec. lie worked well within himself and looks ready for another big effort, Ajanta covered 600 m In 38 2 5 see and looks to be thriving wiiile Lovely Honey took 38 3-5 sec in her first gallop since resuming She has come back bet ter than ever. Wellineas beat Rain Beau very easily over 1200 m in Imin 23sec, the last 600 m in 41sec. Wellineas failed badly last week but there was nothing wrong with her work. No decision has been made as to which race she will contest but 11, Johnson will be the 1 rider.
