Sweep charge denied
AUCKLAND. (X.Z. Press Association) A charge of publishing advertisements inviting people to take a share in connection with a sweepstake was denied by Wilson and Horton, Ltd. in the Auckland Magistrate's Court. It was alleged that the advertisements. published between July 21 and August 4. invited people to predict the results at various sports events throughout New Zealand. Mr C. E. H. Pledger, S.M.. adjourned the case to October 18.
