Unions to meet on rough play
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The Auckland Rugby Union wants to organise a meeting with North Auckland officials to discuss the type of Rugby being played byrepresentative teams. This decision by the Auckland union management committee last evening was prompted by comments on rough play in the match be tween the two teams on September 7. Mr J. McCullough, manager of the Auckland team in that game, said: “It was certainly no enjoyment m witness such a match. If we gloss over this and make no comment then we might be back to the same position next year. “We are not threatening North Auckland,” Mr B. T. Smith said, “but simply want to talk it over.”
