An inconclusive debate on devaluation occupied most of yesterday’s early sitting of Parliament, after the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Muldoon) moved to adjourn the House on the subject. A petition calling for a debate on abortion law reform was received. Ministers answered 23 questions. The House continued during the evening with the second reading debate on the Local Government Bill.
