Houses levelled in blast

An explosion rocked a black ghetto section of downtown Chattanooga early today. levelling four business and apartment buildings.
Police officers at the scene said three unidentified victims had been removed front the burning rubble and many people were injured.
The blast was heard four miles away and left a crater about 200 feet wide.
Initial reports said the blast was caused by a bomb, but the police are not sure.
One of the buildings destroyed housed a restaurant and a nightclub, but it was not known whether they were open at the time of the explosion. At least 13 people are being treated in hospital for injuries.
