Search moves to Te Anau

The search for an escaped prisoner, considered by the police to be dangerous, was concentrated on the Te Anau district today.

A sergeant and five con-i stables with a dog left Inver-: cargill late tonight to help! Te Anau policemen in the> search for Noel Kenneth' Morgan, aged 20. Morgan i escaped from Paparua Pri-I son on Friday. He eluded the police oni Saturday in a three-hour carl chase in which speeds of 1001 miles an hour were reached: near Timaru, before stealing another car and heading south. The police first suspected Morgan was in the Te Anau area when cheques believed! stolen by Morgan in Timaru! were cashed in the township! and dishonoured. CAR FOUND Their suspicions were con-: firmed tonight when the car.
