The Rev. D. C. Best has been appointed vicar of Glenmark-Waikari. Mr Best, who was ordained in 1970, is assistant curate at St Mary’s, Timaru. Before his Timaru appointment, he was assistant curate at St Matthew’s Church, Christchurch, from 1970 to 1972. The Rev. A. G. Sullivan has been appointed assistant priest to Canon R. A. Lowe, vicar of Fendalton, and will take up the post early next year. Mr Sullivan, who was ordained in 1957, served in the Diocese of Dunedin until he was appointed vicar of Waikari in 1964. Until 1970, when he became chaplain to St Margaret’s College, Christchurch, he served at Hokitika. He was Rural Dean of Westland from 1966 to 1970. The Rev. W. J. Gaudin will resign as vicar of Ox-ford-Curt, in order to take up in October an appointment in the Wellington diocese.
