Freights up again

A further bunker surcharge of 0.5 per cent on freight rates in the Tasman services — both from New Zealand and Australia — and on New Zealand coastal services. has been announced by the Union Steam Ship Company. The rise, effective from August 1, is because of further increases in bunker 1 fuel oil prices, the company says.
