THRO WN FROM CAR

Throwing a dog out of a car and driving off at speed was a most inhuman method of disposing of an unwanted animal and could not be tolerated, said an S.P.C.A. inspector, Mr D. Milne.

The dog, a German pointer, is being held at the S.P.C.A. home until a new owner can be found, and the society would welcome any information about the owners of the dog, Mr Milne said.

Mrs S. Strong, a resident of Breezes Road, saw the dog being thrown from the car outside her home on Saturday. “A dark green 1949 Vauxhall pulled up outside the house, the passenger door was thrown open and the dog was pushed out,” Mrs Strong said, “The dog tried to run after the car, but after a while gave up. My son and I took the dog to our home and telephoned the S.P.C.A.”
