I.V.Z.P. A.-Reuter — Copyright) | NEW YORK. The “New York Daily News’’ reports that it has obtained the names of 123 war-crime suspects living in the United States—all former Nazis or members of proNazi groups. They include former con-centration-camp commanders and members of S.S. execu-' tion squads, it says, adding that they are living peacefully’ and often prosperously in America. Immigration authorities and others are quoted as saying that the total number of war-crime suspects in the United States may reach into thousands. However, the Immigration and Naturalisation Service has quashed investigations and removed incriminating files on at least three persons on its list, says the “Daily News.” The newspaper names one of the three, a minor public servant in New Jersey, saying that he served as a lieutenant tn the Waffen S.S. in 1945.
