ONE DAY OF BUSINESS
A Hoon Hay drapery shop was burgled yesterday only a day after it had opened for business.
The Louise Ann Drapery, 8 McCarthy Street, was entered through a rear door and underwear, knitwear and clothing worth $6OO was stolen.
A 140-horsepower outboard motor worth $1095 was stolen from Christchurch Marine, Ltd, 247 Dyers Road, the same night, after a padlock on the front door of the premises was forced.
