Marlborough Sounds, Kaikoura Coast: South to
south-west winds predominating, mainly light or moderate but becoming fresh at times during the day; showery and cool.
Central Marlborough, Nelson, Buller: Light winds; cloudy; showers, mainly about the high country; moderate afternoon temperatures.
Westland: Light to moderate east to south-east winds; fine; moderate afternoon temperatures.
