Alliance in U.S.
Alliance Oil Development Australia, N.L., one of the Cooper Basin consortium members, is extending its overseas activities, with plans to explore in the United States. It is setting up a subsidiary company in the United States. The general manager of Alliance (Mr W. E. Diggs) says “TheUnited States was offering a much better opportunity to become involved in areas close to the cash flow. The risk is less than in Australia and the possible return for our shareholders is ' far greater;” Alliance has been strongly critical of the resale prices offered for oil discovered in Australia.
