Burwood Park and Avonslde are leading In the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Assoclatizi's winter Inter-club competition after five of the nine rounds. Each has won every match and each has 57 points. Linwood Avenue, the winner for the last three years, lost In the first round to Burwood but has won since, and Is In third place, on 48 points, five ahead of Shirley I. which also lost to Burwood in the fourth round. Burwood Park and Avonslde wIU meet In the next round, on July 21, and this will leave one team with a clear lead. The points are:—Burwood Park 57, Avonslde 57.
