INDIANS 'REVILED'

(N.Z. Press Assn—Copyright) LONDON A British Sunday newspaper says that many of the touring Indian cricketers are afraid to go home because of losing the present series against England. The "Sunday Express," in a report by Crawford White, said the Indians "are now being reviled so much by their own people for their failures that many are afraid to go home." The home of the captain, A. Wadekar, had been stoned and his family threatened. The story said the effect of the reaction back home "has been greater than many have realised. Certainly, it had added appreciably to a demoralisation that has been tragic to see." The Indians lost the first two tests against England and are In the process of losing the third.
