(N.Z.P.A; Staff Correspondent) SYDNEY. The New Zealand trainer, G. D. Lee, ended an exasperating run of outs when the former South Island sprinter, Red Boy, won the $5OOO Chester Hill Handicap (2200 m at Warwick Farm on Saturday. Lee, who brought a team of New Zealand horses to Australia last spring then returned earlier this year, was beginning to doubt whether he was going to win a race on this campaign. One of his "stars.” Mister Pompous back to racing at the be turned out for a spell and the other horses in his. team simply failed to reach top form. Lee plans to bring Mister Pompous back into racing at the end of this month while another top member of his team, Audaciter, would resume at Rosehill next Saturday. On Saturday Red Boy led all the way to win a length and a half from Jardel with Almero a long head away third. The day’s feature sprint, the $5OOO Carramar Handicap, went to another former New Zealand gelding. Bounty, which beat King Amura by a long neck.
