The punches are a Friden Flexowriter or a teletype machine and has a standard typewriter keyboard with a few extra controls added. Experience with a typewriter will thus be an advantage. Participation in the data-handling processes is also required, and good eyesight, a fair amount of patience and a desire for accuracy are needed. The position would suit a! mature person but applica tions from young people with the desired approach will bej considered. Full ’raining in' Observatory work will be given to a suitable person.
