Power plant strike ends
f.XZ. Press Association) ; NEW PLYMOUTH, June 19. The strike at the New Plymouth power project has ended. More than 200 em-: ployees of the Fletcher Construction Company voted this morning to return to work, ending the strike now in its seventh week. Work will resume tomorrow. On Monday and Tuesday.! representatives of the Lab-) outers’, Engineers’, and. Drivers’ unions met Fletcher Construction Company executives to discuss a new set! of proposals drawn up by Fletchers. It is understood the outcome of these talks was announced to the men at their meeting today.
