Wool price propped by corporation

AUCKLAND, June 19
Heavy support by the Wool Marketing Corporation is said to have stopped prices at Auckland today from sliding to a level uneconomic for growers. The corporation bid on 75 per cent of the oifering; its bid was the highest on 44 per cent of the 21,000 bales auctioned. (REPORT, PAGE 3)
