Painting to be lent to U.K.

A painting in the Robert | McDougall Art Gallery col-1 lection will be lent to the Ans Council of Great Britain for a major exhibition in’ April next year. The painting. “The Shoreditch Empire,” is by R. W. Sickert, who died in 1942 and who is regarded as one of the foremost British painters of his period. It will be displayed with other works by Sickert in an exhibition representing English music halls solely through the works of this artist.
