I.W.S. office in Belgrade

The growing significance of East European countries as users of wool — much of it from New Zealand — is underlined by a decision of the International Wool Secretariat to establish an office in Jugoslavia. The managing-director of the .secretariat (Mr K. Clarke) said that the Jugoslav office would open in Belgrade next month under the managership of a former public relations consultant, Mr K. Osrecki. It is the first I.W.S. in an Eastern Bloc country, and the decision i culminates months of negotiation at high levels to obtain permission to open the office to be established office.
