Councillor resigns

GREYMOUTH, May 22.

Mrs M. J. C. Burford has resigned her seat on the Grevmouth Borough Council. Mrs Burford, who had intended to resign later in the year to leave with her husband for Canada, said her decision to leave now was made through “frustration.” She said that she had had (many setbacks in issues in which she had been involved. She mentioned particularly the fluoridation scheme, parking congestion in the town, and the retention of live theatre as the main ’ points.
