Colts hockey tournament

(N.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM. Wellington yesterday was the first team to beat the favourite, Canterbury, in the national colts hockey tournament at Blenheim. Wellington leads the pool with four wins in fours games. Canterbury and North Auckland are second, each with three wins and a loss.

Pool A.—Auckland 6, Hawke’s Bay 1; Wellington 1, Canterbury 0; North Auckland 3, Poverty Bay 0; Wanganui 2, Marlborough 0. Pool B.—South Canterbury 2, Otago 1; Manawatu 6, Horowhenua 2.
