Stockyard blues

A meeting of the North Canterbury provincial executive of Federated Farmers decided yesterday that it had no objection to the Railways Department demolishing the Tormore stockyards, situated two miles south of Cheviot. One member said that the yards, which had not been used for two years, hac grass growing throughout them to a height of 3ft. The demolition, he said, would affect three farmers only.
