Anomaly noted

CN.2. Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 21. The Wages Tribunal said today that there was a serious anomaly in dental nurses’ salaries, and it was prepared to grant an application for increases. But the tribunal has not resolved the question of backdating.

Dental nurses will receive a yearly increase of between $5OO and $7OO. The Public Service Association and the State Services Commission met the tribunal again today on the backdating question.

The tribunal’s chairman (Mr N. R. Taylor, S.M.) said there t was a variance of opinion among the three members of the tribunal on how far the increases should be backdated.
