Mr G. C. Cruickshank, of In- - 11 vercargill, will be the new presi■'dent of the New Zealand Trotting Conference. He will succeed Mr Fl •). Rolfe, of Thames, who is retiring after five years in office. The North Island vice-president. Mr R. Lewis, of Auckland, has been re-elected unopposed, while the new South Island vice-presi-dent will be Mr H. J. 'Hewson, of Kaikoura. ! Elections will be necessary for two North Island and three South Island vacancies on the executive. Nominations for the North Island seats are Messrs C. R. Elliott, of Morrinsville, P. E. 11 Jones, of Stratford. L. J. RutherI ford, of Whangarei. and T. R. I Thompson, of Hamilton. Messrs Elliott, Rutherford and Thompson are retiring members. Nominations for the South . Island seats are Messrs J. G. ‘ Barnes, of Dunedin. W. A. Crad--1 dock, of Westport. A. E. Cresswell. of Blenheim. J. R. Hartley, i of Christchurch. J. G. Phillips. 'of Timaru, and A. J. Waller, of 1 Geraldine. Messrs Craddock and Barnes , are retiring members.
