Sir, —Out of all the emotionally-charged antagonism to the proposed highrise block scheme, the Sumner residents have shown, this point has been made clear, sheer provincialism overrules far-sightedness. In the North Island where beaches are really beautiful there is no opposition to progress. In this crowded world of ours today what a healthy moral sense not to want everything our way.
