Aotearoa for Tasman
(N Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, M 14. The Union Steam Ship Company vessel Union Aotearoa is being taken off the South-East Asia service and will be used to help clear a Tasman cargo backlog. The vessel had to be withdrawn and used in the Tasman to “meet the immediate needs of shippers and ensure export industries and local manufacturing were not adversely affected by lack of ship space,” the company said in a statement.
