Sporting ties broken off

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) NAIROBI.

Uganda has suspended all sporting ties with Britain because of the British Lions Rugby tour of South Africa. Radio Uganda said that the decision was announced at a press conference in Kampala by Major-General Francis Nyangweso, chairman of the National Council of Sports. Uganda is the fourth African country to break sporting ties with Britain after a call by the Supreme Council for Sport in Africa. The others are Kenya, Zambia, and Tanzania.
