The unluckiest runner in the Tan Corson Memorial at Makaraka last Saturday was undoubtedly the favourite, Master Morgan, and his many supporters will be staying with him today when he contests the Teachers Whisky Handicap on the second day of the Poverty Bay meeting. Master Morgan suffered two checks on Saturday. As he turned for home he was pushed back, and at the 200 m he looked to be in trouble when a gap closed on him. That was his first distance race for a long time, and should have considerably improved him. Hindi won well last Saturday, but he may find Master Morgan a little too seasoned to repeat the win. SECOND LEG In the second leg, the Waiheirere Wines Handicap, Gun Power, Red Day, and El Viento form a likely combination.
