Mutton sale to Iran
(N.Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 6. The sale of 6000 tons of frozen mutton carcases to Iran was announced today by Thomas Borthwick and Sons (A’sia), Ltd. Loading of the first shipment of 3000 tons will begin at Dunedin this week. Another shipment of 3000 tons will go in July. Two of the company’s senior executives are in Iran for discussions with meat importers. They are Mr N. Hunt, its international marketing director, and Mr B. Freeman, the New Zealand meat sales manager.
