Racing GLENGOWAN OUT; CHARGER “FIRMS”
Glengowan will be a notable absentee from the Waterloo Handicap, J first leg of the Welling-1 ton Racing Club’s T.A.B. double tomorrow. He was very lame after being: exercised at Woodville yesterday and his trainer, J. W. Harris,! quickly made arrangements to i have the big chestnut X-rayed at Massey University. “The way he looked this morn-I Ing he might be out of action for keeps.” Harris said yesterday. The withdrawal of Glengowan' leaves Guest Star at the top of| the handicap with 55kg. The New Zealand St Leger and' Ormond Gold Cup winner. Guest i Star, is the onlv horse in this field with more than scale weight and he might not manage to contain the four-year-old Charger. | which ha« 52.5 kg or 3.5 kg less) than weight-for-age.
