1500 ploughs for Iran

Clough and Sons, Ltd, agricultural machinery manufacturer, which has factories in Timaru and Shannon, has won an order from Iran for 1500 ploughs, to be delivered by June next year. . The company received itsi first, order from Iran for 500' ploughs la,st year, and the' last 200 of these will be shipped by next month. The new order is worth more than §400,000. In the 1975-76 year the number of ploughs is expected to reach 3000. Iran was only one. of many countries to which Clough ploughs were exported, said the managing director (Mr G. Clough) in Timaru today. Mr Clough’s brother, Mr K. Clough, the general manager of the company, will return to New Zealand on May 18 after spending seven weeks visiting countries to which the company exports, and following up inquiries from various parts of the world. !
