Two of the largest properties owned by the I nixersity of Canterbury will be offered for public sale soon. The two properties — Rolleston House (left) on the corner of Rolleston Avenue and Worcester Street and Helen Connon Hall in Chester Stret — have a combined area of more than 2) acres. At present property values the buildings and land mat he worth more than $600,000. The Minister of Education (Mr Antbs) has told the university Council that the two halls of residence may be closed down from the end of this year. Proceeds from the sale of the two properties will he used for the development of the university at Ham. Arrangements will be made soon for the sale of the properties, with the assurance that they will be vacant by January next year.
