Couple on remand

O' Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. April 29.

At the end of a preliminary hearing in the Otahuhu Magistrate's Court today a married couple denied a total of 13 charges against Ithem, including the aggravated robbery of two bank tellers at Pakuranga on Februarv 25.

Robert Stephen French, jaged 27, and Carol Gay i French, aged 23, were com--mitted to the Supreme Court ■for trial on the charges i which also include theft, ; receiving, false pretences and attempting to facilitate ) escape from a penal institution.

The hearing was before Mr K. H. Mason, S.M., and took seven days, during which 99 witnesses gave evidence and 111 exhibits were produced. Both the accused were remanded jn custody.
