' New Zealand Steel, Ltd, will be allowed to discharge hydrogen sulphide to a level of approximately seven parts per million into the air at the Glenbrook steel mill. The Medical Officer of , Health for South Auckland | (Dr A A. Cox), said at a meeting of the Franklin County Council todav that he had been in touch with the Health Department in Wellington and insisted that there should be no escape of hydrogen sulphide but was told that New Zealand Steei would not be able to operate economically unless a small quantity was allowed to escape
