Big yacht race today

Press Association/ 'NEW PLYMOUTH, April 26. i Weather in the Tasman i i Sea for the first two days of the. second single-handed ; yacht race starting at 11 a.m. , 'tomorrow does not look promising. ( With a blustery southerly - ‘wind forecast over the Tas-;, man, the 10 starters in the - race are ready to leave Port Taranaki at 11 a.m. The field this year includes the race’s first woman entrant, Miss Annette Wilde, aged 28, from Christchurch; a one-legged blocklayer from Auckland, J. Jury; and an inter-island ferry master, J. Mansell, from Wellington. The full list of starters with their yachts is:— Miss A. Wilde (Valya): W. Belcher (Raha), Auckland; P. Moore (Carmita), Auckland; A. ■ Aller, 'Rebel Hi, Christchurch; , 'J. Davison 'White Heron), New: Plymouth; C. Ure (MirrooD.il Sydney; I. Mcßride (Übique), , Inglewood; J. The Meteorological Office has ; ■ forecast south to south westerly ' winds and frequent showers for : the first two days.
