New world awaited
A decision was likely soon on a replacement globe for the Canterbury Museum, said the acting director (Mr J. C. Wilson) yesterday. The museum's previous globe fell from its supporting axis in the Von Haast Hall of Geology in January, and was damaged beyond repair.
A new globe would be much dearer than the previous one, which was bought for $l4OO in 1956, said Mr [Wilson. The replacement [would probably come from loverseas.
