Art musical
An Anglo-American musical, called “Bordello,” about the tempestuous life of the French artist TolouseLautrec, has opened in London at the Queen’s Theatre. The British actor. Henry Woolf, once an avant-garde actor at the Royal Court Theatre, plavs the role of the deformed aristocratic artist, the only male role in the show.
The script is by Julian More, a British author who has also written the lyrics with an American, Bernard Spiro. The score is by the New York songwriter, Al Frisch.
