FELLOWSHIP FOR MAORIS
A fellowship to help Maori writers will be set up this year by the Maori Purposes Fund Board.
A sbm of $lOOO a year has been set aside by the board jas a “writing bursary,” to be used to enable one or two [writers of Maori descent to complete an approved project.
The closing date for applications for help from the fellowship fund will be May 31 each year. The winner or winners will be chosen at the board’s annual meeting in August.
