PAY RISE SOUGHT
The Canterbury Hotel Workers* Union is seeking a pay increase of 10 per cent on the rates at present being paid to tearoom and restaurant employees in a claim to be heard by the Conciliation Council next month. The union is also seeking an alteration to long-service holiday and sick pay provisions of their award.
