Miners to return
Strongman State miners will return to work this morning, although the dispute between the mine’s management and the miners’ union has yet to be settled. Mr H. Pattinson, president of the Runanga State Miners’ Union, said last evening that after talks in Greymouth between the union, the United Mineworkers of New Zealand, the mine’s management, and senior Mines Department officials, negotiations for a settlement would continue this morning.
