Dearer petrol The price of petrol rose by almost 27 per cent in Fiji today, from 56 cents to 71 cents a gallon. Kerosene rose by 16 cents a gallon (41 per cent) and diesel fuel by 14.35 cents a gallon (47.7 per cent). — Suva, March 22.

Seven people were kilted and six injured in a bomb explosion near the northern Bangladesh town of Nator. The police said that the bomb had been left over" from the war of liberation in 1971.— Dacca, March 24.

Price of terror International terrorism in the six years up to December last year cost 268 dead and 571 wounded; SUS32m in ransom pay-outs; and SUSI63m in measurable destruction; a new monthly magazine reports.
