Negotiators walk out

South Vietnam Government military negotiators walked out of a meeting with the Viet Cong in protest against an attack on a helicopter carrying Communist prisoners to freedom, a Government spokesman said. One of the helicopter’s crew was killed but it landed safely at Bien Hoa airbase outside Saigon.

A Viet Cong spokesman ; said that South Vietnamese aircraft ferrying prisoners to release sites had often sfc>ied on Viet Cong ground positions. The Viet Cong was investigating the incident.
