Obituary MR W. G. BROWN

Mr William George Brown, (who died last week, was a member of many voluntary (organisations in Somerfield. •and was caretaker of Somerfield School for 18 years.

Born in Geraldine. Mr (Brown left school at the age of 14 to work as a bricklayer for his father. After moving to Somerfield. he became a member of the Somerfield district Burgesses’ Association from 1932 to about 1952. Mr Brown was a member of the committee responsible for building the Somerfield Community Centre Hall and on its completion became i (custodian. He was also custodian of the Somerfield skimming baths and Somerfield School. He was a life member of the Somerfield Indoor Bowls Club which he help form. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and three sons.
